Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP), which has entered the fray with the promise of free 300 units of electricity in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, is going to start a campaign regarding it from tomorrow. Today, SP National President and former CM Akhilesh Yadav in a press conference has announced to start 'Naam Likheyan - get 300 units of free electricity'.

In this press conference convened at the Lucknow headquarters of SP, he said that those who want to get free electricity, they should register their names in the form given by SP. He urged that people should write the same name in whose name the electricity bill comes. Akhilesh said that those who have domestic connections, they should write their names in this form. Those who do not have a domestic connection now, but want to take it in the future, they should also register the name written in the ration card or Aadhar card in the form.

Akhilesh further said that he will soon bring the manifesto of the party. He said that SP has promised free electricity up to 300 units on domestic connections. This is a big promise. He accused the electricity rates in Uttar Pradesh of being very expensive and people being harassed in the name of collection of electricity bills. He said that the general public of UP has got continuously increased electricity bills. Cases were registered against many people and people were tortured.
