Ask anyone in India, and they will tell you the importance of gold. For Indians, it is not merely a piece of jewellery but signifies their hard work and status symbol, and many see it as a big investment. Gold plays a significant part during festivals as it is considered auspicious. Men, women, kids and older people, in lots of families, every family member has at least one piece of gold jewellery on them.

For a metal so important, it only makes sense that people buy it from the best players in the jewellery industry. John Alukkas has made sure that the collection they have not only caters to the elder population but also the younger ones. They have a fantastic team of jewellery designers who carve out traditional and trendy designs for earrings, rings, bracelets, bangles, pendants, chains, necklaces, nose rings and more.

During the wedding season, the demand for gold is high, especially in Southern India. Hence, along with Kerala, John Alukka has opened different branches of Jos Alukkas in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

When asked what helped him and his brand to sustain and flourish for so many years, entrepreneur John Alukka answered, "Our gold is pure, beautiful and we have some of the best designs that you will not find anywhere. We have accessories for people of all age groups. I believe it is important to follow the trend and bring changes in the way you do your business of selling items. Today, people love to wear lightweight jewelleries, but there are also individuals who love to flaunt heavy gold ornaments. So as a businessman, I ensure that all such requirements of my customers are fulfilled."

He added, "Every business has ups and downs and I've faced them too. But the only solution is to keep moving forward and that's what I do in my professional and personal life."
