New Delhi: International Women's Day is being celebrated across the country today. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made a big announcement. The EPFO has issued an order to all companies asking them to provide a 100 per cent e-nomination facility for their women employees so that they can be recognised and rewarded on Women's Day. 

In a tweet, the EPFO said, "Companies which have not been able to make e-nominations for December 2021 and January 2022 are eligible for this 'declaration'. We urge you to file e-nominations on International Women's Day, empower their families and assure them of social security."

The EPFO is also offering an e-nomination facility to give the details of the nominees. The persons who do not have the nomination are being given the opportunity. After this, information like the name, date of birth of the online nominee will be updated. EPFO has told its subscribers that the EPF account holder should make an e-nomination (EPF/EPS nomination). By doing so, the nominees/family members get a big help in withdrawing money related to PF, Pension (EPS) and Insurance (EDLI) in the event of death of the account holder. This allows the nominee to make an online claim.
