Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, people are facing problems all over the world. This has also impacted sports events and players immensely. This year's Tokyo Olympics was cancelled for a year due to COVID-19. The Indian shooter has no problem in preparing for this grand event to be held next year, for this sports minister Kir Rijiju has announced special training for players.

On Wednesday, the Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju said that "I've personally checked everything at KS Shooting Range. India has emerged as World Shooting powerhouse. High hopes in Olympics! Decided to provide quality ammunition to our top shooters at KSSR or at their doorsteps wherever practising. Hostel construction is almost complete".

On Wednesday, Rijiju tweeted after visiting the range, "The construction of a hostel for our shooting boys and girls in Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range is in full swing. Best possible facilities are getting fully ready for India's top athletes. Grassroot development is also being given priority. The National Rifle Association of India had earlier planned a training camp for the Olympic core group from August 1 but had to be cancelled in view of the growing cases of COVID-19 throughout the country". It will be mandatory to follow all safety rules.
