Istanbul: Following the visit of Mahmud Abbas, the president's office announced on Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Turkey on July 28 to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The statement, released late Thursday, stated that "President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will welcome the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Turkey in the course of the same week."
According to the statement, Abbas will arrive in Turkey on Tuesday, followed by Netanyahu three days later. The trip, which was the first by an Israeli prime minister to Turkey since 2008, was confirmed by Netanyahu's office.

The latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as other global issues will be discussed, along with Turkish-Palestinian relations.
Relations between Turkey and Israel, which had been tense for a while, have improved over the past year as a result of several high-level visits, including that of Israel's President Isaac Herzog.

Turkiye, however, denounced the altercations that broke out in the flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque in April, where Israeli police and Palestinians engaged in combat inside Jerusalem's holy site.

Israel, according to Erdogan, crossed a "red line."
