European Union rollout vaccine amid new variant fear, Covid 19

European Union which is in the fear of new variant spread has began the deadly Covid 19 vaccine rollout on Saturday, even few countries in the bloc were forced back into lockdown by a new strain of the virus. The new variant is to be believed of more infectious, that continues to spread from Britain. Deadly pandemic has claimed more than 1.7 million lives since its onset, but the recent launching of vaccination campaigns has boosted hopes that 2021 could end the pandemic. 

Upon approval for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on December 21, EU to begin Vaccinations in all 27 European Union countries Sunday. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned on Friday:  "Vaccines are offering the world a way out of this tragedy. But it will take time for the whole world to be vaccinated." 

Paris' health ministry confirmed late Friday that it had detected its first case of the new variant in a citizen returned from London on December 19, few hours before the vaccine arrives in France. Several other European countries have reported cases of the new strain, which has sent jitters through already overstretched health services. Across the globe more than 50 countries imposed travel restrictions on the UK, where  the new variant first emerged. But still new cases have still been reported worldwide: on Friday, Japan, Denmark, Lebanon, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands, and now the France.
