Washington: Exciting news in Hollywood as Ewan McGregor is set to star alongside Anne Hathaway in an upcoming adventure film directed by David Robert Mitchell for Warner Bros., as reported by Deadline.

McGregor, widely recognized for his role in the TV series 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', has officially joined forces with Hathaway for Warner Bros Motion Picture Group's latest project, helmed by David Robert Mitchell, known for his works 'It Follows' and 'Under the Silver Lake'.

While the plot of the film remains under wraps, it's been teased as a "thrill-ride" experience, promising to captivate audiences, especially with plans to shoot in Imax.

Mitchell will not only direct but also contribute from his original story, with support from J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, and Matt Jackson as producers. Executive producers include Jake Weiner and Chris Bender from Good Fear Content. Overseeing the project for Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group (WBMPG) are Sheila Walcott and Zach Hamby.

McGregor, fresh from his reprisal of the iconic role of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in Disney+'s acclaimed limited series, has been making waves in both TV and film. With an Emmy win for his role in Netflix's 'Halston' and notable appearances in movies such as 'Birds of Prey' and 'Doctor Sleep', McGregor's star power continues to rise. Fans can also anticipate his upcoming projects including the Showtime and Paramount Global miniseries 'A Gentleman in Moscow', where he serves as both actor and executive producer.

Looking ahead, McGregor has an exciting lineup of films, including Niclas Larsson's TIFF dramedy 'Mother Couch', featuring a stellar cast including Rhys Ifans, Taylor Russell, and Ellen Burstyn. Additionally, audiences can anticipate 'Bleeding Love', a drama premiering at SXSW, which McGregor both produces and stars in alongside his daughter Clara McGregor.

Represented by UTA and attorney Robert Offer of Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, McGregor continues to cement his place as one of Hollywood's most versatile and talented actors.
