81-year-old ex-serviceman dies while singing national anthem

Mumbai: A tragic incident has taken place during the 'Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav' event being celebrated to mark the 75th Independence Day at a school in Nashik, Maharashtra. An 81-year-old ex-serviceman, Chandrabhan Malunjkar, died during the event here. Chandrabhan Malunjkar took part in the 1962 war.  

According to the information, Chandrabhan Malunjkar, a resident of the Satpur area of Nashik, suddenly fell unconscious at the school program. He was immediately rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The elderly was invited as a guest at the event. After this incident, mourning spread in the entire area. During the program, people present on the spot were making videos on mobile. On seeing a video, it has been found that the elderly were also singing while the national anthem was played in the school, during which the elderly suddenly fell unconscious.

Malunjkar, who was involved as a soldier in the 1962 war, after retiring from service, inspired the youth to join the army through ex-servicemen organizations and various activities in the Satpur area. Now after his demise, everyone's eyes are moist and everyone is saluting the contribution of this patriot to India.
