Dr Kamaraj, director of the Institute, said, “On Sunday morning, around 10,000 IVF babies born at our hospital will assemble here for a free check up”.

As per the Dr Kamaraj, "more than a lakh people are expected to visit the exhibition where couples could bring their medical records and get free consultation or a second opinion on the options available to them".

“There are a lot of couples opting for divorce even today because of infertility issues,” said Dr Rajamohan.

Couples can visit the exhibition, undergo the necessary tests and gain an understanding of the options open to them, he added.

“Childless couples can learn the causes and treatments for infertility. There are solutions to almost everything,” said Dr K S Jeyarani Kamaraj, also the director of the institute.

As per the directors of the institution, more than 15,000 children have been born in their hospital so far including a 56-year-old woman who gave birth to twins. The IVF treatment offered once increases the chances of pregnancy to about 35 to 40%.

It has been explained by them that factors like environmental degradation and toxicity, genetic complications, air pollution, polluted water, insecticide toxicity and lack of hygiene can cause infertility.
