New Delhi: In the latest announcement, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), revealed that the answer keys for the UGC NET 2023 will be unveiled either on July 5th or 6th. 

As per the officials, the UGC Chief stated that the answer keys for this year's National Eligibility Test would be made available to the public in July. Furthermore, the UGC Chairman confirmed that the results for the UGC NET 2023 will be announced during the second week of August. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar tweeted, "UGC-NET: NTA plans to initiate the answer key challenge on either July 5th or 6th and aims to declare the final results in the second week of August." The officials also informed that the candidates who have appeared for the exam will be able to access the UGC NET answer key for June 2023 on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

In an official statement released earlier today, the UGC declared that the primary requirements for direct hiring to the position of Assistant Professor at all Higher Education Institutions will be through the National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET), and State Level Eligibility Test (SLET). The statement emphasized, "The fundamental prerequisites for direct hiring to the position of Assistant Professor at all Higher Education Institutions should encompass NET/SET/SLET, as stipulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC)."

During the month of May this year, the first phase of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate examinations concluded successfully. Spread across three shifts, the CUET UG exams took place from May 21st to 24th, with May 22nd witnessing the highest participation. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar confirmed, "All three shifts on May 22nd were successfully completed, with a total number of scheduled candidates amounting to approximately 224,575. Shift 1 of CUET-UG was conducted in 261 cities and 415 centers, accommodating a total of 74,342 candidates with a 74 percent attendance record." He further added, "Shift 2 of CUET-UG was conducted in 264 cities and 386 centers, with a total of 58,338 candidates scheduled and a 79 percent attendance record. Shift 3 of CUET-UG took place in 262 cities and 450 centers, involving 91,895 candidates with a 75 percent attendance record."
