Today is the last day of the 21-day lockdown. At the same time, given the possibility of extending the two weeks of lockdown, to what extent industrial activities will be allowed during this period, it is now completely dependent on the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has already submitted a complete roadmap for starting manufacturing in a phased manner. Under this, it has been recommended to start 16 types of industrial production. According to the ministry sources, during the lockdown, the government can allow export and production of essential commodities with some conditions. The movement of vehicles connected with the service required to maintain the supply chain can also be allowed to pass without movement.

According to the information given by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, the movement of trucks has been completely exempted. There will be no need to issue a separate pass to the truck driver and helper. Similarly, all warehouses, cold storage are allowed to run. Airport, railway and customs officials can also issue passes to contract workers. Instructions have been given to the state government to ensure the supply of workers in the manufacturing unit of essential commodities located on the border of the states. Small entrepreneurs associated with flour, pulses have also been allowed to work.

According to the sources, it is clear that the situation of the lockdown continues, given the stand of the Ministry of Home Affairs Also, the service related to the production of essential commodities and their supply chain is going to get permission for functioning. Among the essential commodities, agricultural products, processed food products, FMCG, pharmaceutical production and packaging industries can be allowed to make conditional production.
