Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar warmly attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany. Speaking on the issue of nationalism in this important conference, he said that it is not a question that the world has become more nationalistic. America, China and many countries of the world are more nationalistic. Much of this nationalism is legally valid. Jaishankar further said that there are other countries where it is a positive vocal nationalism. In many cases, it is more unsafe nationalism. The fact is that a more nationalist world is clearly a less multilateral world.

In his statement further, the Foreign Minister said that if we look at history, people's trust in the United Nations has decreased. This is not surprising because when you think about it, a lot of things are not what they were 75 years ago and are still as good as they were. Frankly speaking, something needs to be done there.

For your information, let us tell you that Munich Security Conferences are a big stage of international diplomacy where leaders and diplomats from all over the world give their opinion on important issues. It was started in 1962 by German military officer Ewald Fonn Klaist. Clyst is the same military officer who planned to assassinate the dictator Adolf Hitler. He later became a publisher. In the era of the Cold War, the Munich Security Conference was known as the Verkunde Conference.
