In an interview, the CEO of Astory Lee San Baek, who produced ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo' said to a South Korean media outlet on August 17th "Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce season 2 of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'. It is not easy to coordinate the schedules of the cast and production team, so we will have to go through a lot of discussions. As long as there are no abnormalities, the goal is to have more than 90% of original cast members in the drama.”

CEO Lee said that he will continue to raise viewers' interest in the drama through the production of various additional contents, such as webtoons, musical productions, and merchandise sales, which are already serialized before season 2 airs. A new lawyer named Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin), who has a brilliant mind and is also autistic, enters the big legal firm Han Bada and develops into a lawyer in the drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

As it was broadcast on the foreign channel ENA and dealt with the unusual topic of the autistic spectrum, it first drew little interest. However, by bringing out a number of concerns that existed in Korean society but did not receive enough attention, it garnered notice through word-of-mouth. Numerous incidents that might have happened in the real world were dramatised into episodes and garnered positive reviews. They were based on the true experiences of women, small business entrepreneurs, sexual minorities, and North Korean defectors.

Starting at 0.9% on June 29 (based on Nielsen Korea's nationwide paid households), the ratings increased to 4% in the third episode and to 11% in the seventh. With a 15.8% rating in the ninth episode, which featured a guest appearance by actor Koo Kyo Hwan, it beat its own record for the highest rating.
