Mumbai: In Mumbai, children are beginning to catch mucormycosis, black fungus. In fact, in such cases, three children have had to have an eye out in various hospitals. Doctors are said to be concerned about the black fungus case among children. In fact, black fungus has been found in children from 4 years to 16 years in different hospitals in Mumbai. Let us tell you that a 14-year-old girl had to have an eye out, while in another case, a 16-year-old girl was found to have a black fungus in her abdomen. Both of them were treated at Fortis Hospital in Mumbai.

Recently, "In the second wave, we have seen black fungus in these two girls," was said by Dr Jesal Shah. He informed that "Both the girls had diabetes. When the baby came to us, her eyes turned black in 48 hours. It was spread in the nose, eyes, sinus, it did not even go to the brain with a pleasant heart." He underwent six weeks of treatment, but lost his eye. He also said, "A 16-year-old girl was healthy a month ago, she was covided, never had diabetes before, but we almost came out of control with diabetes. There was an abdominal pen, suddenly the bleeding in the intestine started. Angiography found that there is an ortic aneurys. A black fungus was found in his wound.''

On the other hand, eye and cancer surgeon Dr. Prithesh Shetty says that he has seen black fungus in children between the ages of 4 and 6, and in both cases, one eye had to be removed. He says the children had covid but did not complain of diabetes. In addition, Dr. Shetty also said, "The mukker had spread to the child's eye. There was no light. If we had not removed the eyes, there could have been a threat to life. The surgery took place on December 29. The eye was drawn. It happened in first phase. In the second wave, in April, the baby who arrived was in a similar situation, the left was lit, there was pain and swelling. If we had not performed the surgery, the infection would have gone up to the brain."
