New Delhi:- Commentator David Croft believes Lance Stroll could soon choose to leave the Formula 1 grid because he "lost his passion". Stroll is currently in his seventh F1 season and plays for the Aston Martin F1 team, which is owned by his father Lawrence.
However, he is currently far behind teammate Fernando Alonso, who is 102 points ahead in the Drivers' Championship half way through the 2023 campaign.
Alonso has also won six podiums so far this year, while Stroll is yet to score a single point in the top three.

Stroll was praised in early 2023 for racing in Bahrain just days after being involved in a bicycle accident that left him with broken wrists and broken toes. But he hasn't been able to keep up with Alonso for the year.
"I wanted to see Lance Stroll again, who went to Bahrain because I thought he was a bit lost," Croft told the Sky Sports F1 podcast.
"I think he's lost his passion, and whatever happens, Lance doesn't seem as motivated as he was at the start of the season.

"I wonder, he's the only driver on the grid you can think of:
"As long as your dad's here, you're guaranteed a job," and we never really talked about a contract for Lance Stroll. Croft believes Stroll will look for a challenge elsewhere in the near future and leave the F1 grid.
"We have never considered his future elsewhere, but I only have a small feeling that in about a year and a half, Lance Stroll will play his last race in Formula 1 and go do something else," he added. “Because I just think he is losing his passion. I don't think Formula 1 is the sport he wanted to play when he was young.

“I mean, he was a huge tennis talent at a young age, one of the best youngsters in Canada at the time, and I just wonder if he can go away and find something that makes him happy. he is more satisfied and gives him more excitement than not.
"I'm not saying he doesn't like driving in Formula 1. I think there are times when he does, but I think sometimes I look at him and think that "You want to do something else, don't you?"
“And I think as president, his dad will also realize that it's a business and I need two drivers. So if he doesn't get a result, I think an easy call is made.
