Facebook on Thursday tried to put an end to all the controversies through a blog post which stood due to the company's new 'Base Edge-Based' Sign Process. It explained that the company was doing this process of testing in India. The company has clearly said that the testing process has ended and there is no plan to expand it.

Facebook has emphasized that the use of the Aadhaar during the sign-up process was just being done as a suggestion to use the full name. No Aadhaar verification was being done by the company.   

This social networking site has not said anything new about testing, apart from the earlier shared information. Facebook's latest blog postThe purpose of this is to put a stop to the news coming in the media, in which Facebook is asking about the details of the base.

The company has made it clear that the base in its sign-up process is not integrated from anywhere. It was not even used to establish new user identity.  Gadgets 360 had earlier told you that this social media company is asking the user to use the full name in the Facebook profile as the basis. When the users were making new accounts, then 'name as per Aadhar' was being suggested.

In a statement given, Facebook said, "We want to ensure that users use the same name that they are recognized so that it is easy to connect with friends and family members. We are encouraging the user to use the name of the Aadhar card, this is an alternative suggestion. It is mandatory to use the same name with the Aadhaar card." 

Actually, this step of Facebook is being seen as an attempt to check the fake profile. However, about 24 million people use Facebook in India. According to the number of users, India is second only after the US.
