If you have a habit of seeing your Facebook profile over and over again, it may be too heavy for you. People who see their Facebook profile are more likely to be unhappy and uncomfortable than those who sometimes use this famous social networking site.

A new research has been warned about it. Researchers at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in the United States collected data from 5,208 people about their use of Facebook between 2013 and 2015.

Researchers investigated the real-world social network activity with Facebook activity and physical health, mental health, life satisfaction and body mass index.

After studying the data, researchers found that using Facebook more is related to compromising social, physical and psychological health. Assistant professor at UCSD Holly Shaka said, "People who use social networking websites more often than not those who use it, are not happy and healthy."

In the study, Nicholas Christakis of the Yale University of America said that using Facebook is negatively associated with being skilled.

Researchers said that even a one percent increase in the lyrics clunk, links click or status updates are related to a decline of five to eight percent in self-reported mental health. This research has been published in the American journal Epidemiology.
