Fortnight many users complained about the circulation of fake news over the giant social media site, Facebook. New application 'Journalism' launched by Facebook is one of the measures to prevent the rolling out of fake news over a site.

Another new measure carried out by Facebook to prevent dissemination of irrelevant news. Germany government repeatedly asked Facebook to respect laws. After this order by German GOVT Facebook posted statement in its news room, " We will put these updates in place in Germany in the coming weeks."

This warning came into force due to election polls, German politicians have warned that populist parties and foreign nations could use fake news to try and influence parliamentary elections will held on September and October.
