A social media platform that is used to share selfie and states throughout the day, Facebook will now help people stranded in situations like severe natural calamities. Facebook has introduced a new service called 'Disaster Map' in India. 

Through this new feature, Facebook will help to know the exact number of people affected in the area of the disaster. With the help of National Disaster Management Authority and other organizations, Facebook will collect the information needed by the location of the user.

All the information that comes via Facebook plays an important role during the disaster. Shortly before Facebook launched the feature called 'Safety Check', which informs friends and relatives of being safe in case of disaster. With this, the relief fund is deposited with the help of Facebook in relief operations by connecting with more and more people in the disaster. 

Finding the right information from 'Disaster map' is an important initiation to save as many people as possible in less time in some type of disaster. In such a situation, the 'Disaster Map' of Facebook can be judged as to where more people are stranded, which can be used to transport water, food and rescue items to the stranded people in less time.

Under the 'Disaster map' feature, Facebook will make the map available according to the Density, Movement and Safety check and provide the necessary information to the organizations engaged in relief.
