New Delhi: A post about France is going viral on social media. The viral post claims that bombs and weapons were recovered in a French mosque after which the government razed the mosque with the same bomb. Some people are sharing it like a simple post. Some posts also have a photo attached to them.

Now we checked some foreign media websites and hovered some official Twitter handles to find out what the reality of the viral claim is. But, nowhere has any such information come to light. Some of the reports that came out were 5-6 years old. That is, it was clear that the claim being made in the viral post is not true. The information available on the Internet has revealed that after the November 13, 2015 terror attack on Paris, the French government shut down more than 100 mosques in a major step against Islamic fundamentalism, and in the same episode, they recovered 24 military weapons and 334 weapons from a mosque.

When there was no clear information as claimed by the viral post, we searched it through a picture being shared in the viral post. However, the picture and the area in it seem to be from France. But looking at the picture shows that the picture is from Banka in Bihar. There was a blast in a madrassa on June 8, 2021, which was also dealt with by the police.
