The producers of Malayalam film director Fahadh Fasil's upcoming political thriller film 'Malik' is making all the stops to ensure that the film will be one of his most memorable films. The latest Hollywood action choreographer to appear in Mahesh Narayanan's directorial team is Lee Whitaker, who won a National Award for his work in 'Bahubali 2: The Conclusion'.

Lee, who was a part of films like Captain Marvel and X-Men Apocalypse, joined the team on Wednesday. The stunt director says, "Mahesh, cinematographer Sanjuon Varghese and I worked together in Kamal Haasan's film Vishwaroopam, which was my first film in Indian cinema. We all got along so well. I felt that Malik has a really good story. He showed me some clips that he had shot and I dug up actor Fahadh, which I think was fantastic."

Malik will probably be the first Indian film for Lee to be story-driven, after all, he has previously been a part of films like Aamir Khan's 'Thugs of Hindostan'. He said, "That attracted my interest. I do very big budget stylistic action films. Whenever I do action design, I want it to be emotionally inspired by the characters. Malik's action is realistic and not fancy or over-the-top." He said that we have been made more creative in terms of what the characters have to do in the film. Over the past few days, the American stuntman has worked mostly with scenes from the shooting period of Fahadh and Vinay Forte in the 80s.
