New Delhi: The crime of increasing crime has created a rage among the people while on the matter a person from Uttar Pradesh become fake IPS harassed women by calling and asked them of giving a government job, got arrested on the charge of molestation on Sunday from a village near Gurugram. Delhi Police gave this information and said that the accused has been identified as Gauri Shankar (38), a resident of Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested from Mullahera village in Haryana. A case of (molestation of women) has been registered against him under Section 354A of the IPC.

Accused used to send obscene videos and messages on WhatsApp: According to the police, Gaurishankar used to harass women by sending indecent messages and videos on mobile. Police said that the accused used to call women and call himself IPS officers and lure them to get government jobs. After being introduced, he used to send vulgar videos and messages to women on WhatsApp.

The person who harassed the woman became a fake IPS: While he said that when the police contacted the phone number, the person who picked up the phone called himself as IPS officer. The Deputy Commissioner said that during the investigation, it was found that the person had bought the number on a fake ID or was using someone else's number. The number is taken at the address of Anand district of Gujarat. According to the police, most of the women suffering from Gaurishankar are from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. After being arrested, the accused told the police that he had a shop in Kushinagar selling SIM cards, due to which he had the phone numbers of many unknown people. He had to close his shop after an accident four years ago. After that, he started working as a security guard in Delhi. He called himself a senior police officer of Uttar Pradesh and started calling women.
