Indian Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has encouraged millions of people with his work. He has also been included in the list of influential people of India due to his excellent work. He is at 15th position in this list. He has got this place due to his achievements and his best practices. Piyush Goyal was the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy (2014-2017) and Mines (2016-17) before assuming these positions. During Piyush Goyal's tenure, there were transformational changes in India's electricity sector. With this, during his tenure till 2018, more than 80% of the population had access to electricity.

Talking about his other achievements, including improving energy security of India and ending coal shortage. He revised the target of 20 GW of solar energy five times (ie 100 GW) by the year 2022. Piyush Goyal, once an investment banker, has reached the 15th place in the list of 50 influential Indians today, which has not been easy for him.

He served as a government candidate on the boards of India's largest commercial banks, State Bank of India 2001-2004 and Bank of Baroda 2002-2004. Not only this but his political career was also very good.

In 1984, Piyush joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was made a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha from this party. At the same time, he worked hard to strengthen the BJP party. During his 28-year political career, he has served on the National Executive and held many important positions in the BJP. He is currently an MP in Rajsabha.
