Apart from this, he further said that Pandidurai was very much in love with his niece Tharika and nephew Monash Kumaran, and wanted to attend their 'ear piercing' ceremony.

Unfortunately, though, he passed away and the ceremony was not held. You can see that after Pandadurai was brought to the house of the idol in a chariot wearing 'Vesti' and shirt, the family made the children sit on the lap of the idol and organized the ear-piercing ritual.
