If the personnel dies in the Special Task Force under the Police Department during the duty, their family will be given a grant of Rs 50 lakh. Apart from this, children of police forces of the state who have lost their lives in riots or other work will be given a maximum of Rs 1 lakh rupees annually for schooling, of which the maximum ceiling will be four lakh rupees.

This decision has been taken in the interest of policemen under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Haryana Police and HDFC Bank Ltd at Police Headquarters, Panchkula under the chairmanship of Director General of Police, KK Mishra, on Wednesday. 

On behalf of the Haryana Police, the MoU was signed by Director General Headquarters KK Mishra and Head Banking Head of HDFC Vineet Arora. Speaking on the occasion, KK Mishra said that as per the new agreement with the bank, now the permanent compensation will be given to the police personnel for a compensation of Rs 30 lakh, and in case of partial disability, they will be given five lakh rupees by the bank.

For the welfare of injured policemen, this facility is being introduced for the first time by the bank. Similarly, the grant amount to the dependents of the policemen has been increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees on natural death. Card swipe eligibility for the financial assistance amount of 30 lakh rupees given in the case of accidental death of the bank has also been removed. According to the revised MoU, all the police personnel will be given Rs 30 lakh in case of accidental death and Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees in case of natural death.
