Actor Jamie Dornan, famous worldwide for his role in the Hollywood film 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' has recently made headlines regarding his health. It is reported that Jamie had to be hospitalized during his trip to Portugal due to touching a poisonous caterpillar. Jamie experienced symptoms resembling a heart attack due to the toxic caterpillar encounter. His friend, Gordon Smart, who also faced health issues related to the caterpillar, shared details of the incident.
According to Gordon Smart, Jamie and he were on vacation at a golfing resort in Portugal. Initially, they attributed their strange feelings to consuming too many drinks. However, later they discovered that a caterpillar had caused their discomfort and was toxic.
Gordon Smart revealed that a day after their trip began, he found himself in distress. He felt a tingling sensation in his arms, leading him to believe he was experiencing a heart attack. Smart said, "I consider myself a pretty healthy guy, but once you get it in your head that you're having a heart attack, it sits there and you convince yourself that's what's happening."
Smart was immediately taken to the hospital and later discharged. When he returned to the hotel, Jamie Dornan began experiencing similar sensations. Smart shared, "Jamie told me that about 20 minutes after you'd gone, my missus felt the same in her left arm and hand, my right leg went numb and I found myself on the floor of the ambulance a few minutes later."
Doctors later informed Smart that their troubles were caused by a toxic caterpillar. He said, "Later, we found out there are caterpillars on the golf course in South Portugal, which are causing dogs to die and people to have heart attacks at the age of 40. Later, we also found out that we'd touched a hairy processionary caterpillar, and we're very lucky to be alive. The good news is it wasn't a caffeine overdose, nor was it a hangover; it was due to a poisonous and toxic caterpillar."
Jamie Dornan, aged 41, gained fame through the 'Fifty Shades' film franchise. He was last seen in the Netflix film 'Heart of Stone,' alongside Alia Bhatt and Gal Gadot. Additionally, he is appearing in the TV drama series 'The Tourist.' Dornan's health scare serves as a reminder of the potential dangers posed by seemingly harmless creatures, even during leisurely vacations.
