Pune-based builder Paranjape brothers in Mumbai police custody for cheating

Pune: Mumbai Police has registered a case against builders Srikanth Paranjape, Shashank Paranjape and others on charges of cheating and forgery in business on Thursday. According to information received, Mumbai Police DCP Manjunath Singe told a press conference on Veerwar that "A 70-year-old woman has registered a case against builders Srikanth Paranjape, Shashank Paranjape and R Patil under sections 406, 420, 464, 467, 468 and others at Vile Parle police station in Mumbai."

In fact, the police have arrested all of them for indulging in forgery in commercial activities. Based on the woman's complaint, mumbai police reportedly brought the Paranjape brothers from Pune to Mumbai late in the night. On the other hand, DCP Singe says, "The complainant has also named Madhav Paranjape and Raghavendra Pathak in his complaint.''

As per the information received, a similar case of cheating and forgery was registered against the accused in January 2020. The matter is still under investigation. Police say the investigation is still in its early stages. Police said the two brothers have been called for questioning at present. In fact, both the brothers are accused of cheating the woman on the basis of forged documents and mumbai police is investigating further in the case.
