With his unexpected appearance in Bigg Boss Season 16, Sajid Khan stunned the audience. He discussed how, earlier in his career, after three back-to-back successful movies, Heyy Baby, Housefull, and Housefull 2, he had become haughty and pompous, and how he had since learned humility after experiencing failure with a few subsequent films that didn't perform well. He claimed that success had gone to his head and that he had changed when Salman Khan confronted him. Sajid continued by describing how he lost his last film project without giving him any advance notice and how he was without a job for the following two years.

Farah Khan, his sister, has always been a strong advocate for him. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Salman inquired of Sajid if his sister Farah had anything to say to him since she had previously served as a Bigg Boss hoss. What Farah told him was revealed by Sajid. She stated: "Be yourself there. Allow everyone to see who you are ". Sajid Khan ought to feel very upbeat and confident after hearing the words.
