Lucknow: The political turmoil across the country has been heated by the death of eight people in a violent incident that erupted in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh following clashes between farmers and BJP workers. Now farmer leader Darshan Pal has termed the Lakhimpur violence as a deliberate and pre-planned conspiracy. He said in a statement that the Lakhimpur Kheri incident is part of a pre-planned conspiracy. The attackers have tried to terrorise the farmers.

Darshan Pal further said that the government is putting all its life to save the culprits of Lakhimpur Kheri. This is a very wrong attitude of the government. This has caused a lot of resentment among the farmers towards the government. He explained that farmers can no longer wait. The meeting will pressure the government to resign Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra and arrest other accused including his son who was responsible for the incident.

Darshan Pal said that Shaheed Kisan Diwas will be celebrated on October 12. SKM has appealed to farmers across Uttar Pradesh as well as across the country to remember the sacrifices of 5 farmers killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri Kisan massacre by lighting 5 candles in front of their homes to pay homage. The All India Rail Roko movement will be launched across the country on October 18 to put pressure on the government. The movement will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
