Bhopal: Farmers in Madhya Pradesh have warned that if Rakesh Tikait, the national leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), reaching Sheopur, was arrested in an old case, they would intensify their agitation. Please tell that Rakesh Tikait farmers are coming to Sheopur on Monday afternoon to address the Mahapanchayat.

State President of BKU Anil Yadav has said that, Rakesh Tikait will reach Sheopur from Delhi in the afternoon. If the police arrest them under the directions of the BJP-led state government, we will intensify our protest and the state government will be responsible for any untoward incident. At the same time, peasant unions have claimed that around 40,000 women from various parts of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will reach Delhi protest sites, including the Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders. Each Kisan Sangh has its own women's branch, but this branch (Ugarhan) of Bhartiya Kisan Sangh is the largest.

Farmers union leaders said that these women would celebrate International Women's Day on Monday and then return home to take care of children, farms and family elders.
