Farmer Protest: Farmers' big meeting today, strategy to be made on a plan to surround Parliament

New Delhi: Farmers protesting against three agricultural laws brought by the Central government will now sit on strike outside Parliament House. This has been announced by Indian Farmers Union (Bhakiu) leader Rakesh Tikait. We will meet today and prepare the strategy, Tikait said. Farmers will protest outside Parliament during the monsoon session beginning July 19.

Rakesh Tikait further said that 200 people will go to Parliament by bus, we will pay rent, we will sit outside Parliament while the House will continue to function. Rakesh Tikait has made it clear that it will be a peaceful protest. Meanwhile, farmers have announced that there will be a Mahapanchayat in Muzaffarnagar on September 5. Talking to the media, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had said that a meeting will be held in Muzaffarnagar in September and further strategy will be chalked out from there, the government has 2 months to negotiate.

The Bhakiu leader had said that farmers from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab would come to this Mahapanchayat and discuss the strategy ahead. Rakesh Tikait said the government may prepare for talks in August before the Mahapanchayat or if it has something in mind. On the question of the political meaning of the Mahapanchayat, Rakesh Tikait said that he did not know what would happen.
