In an horriying incident, a crocodile entered a home and slept under the bad of the  family members. Babubhai Parmar, 30, and his family members were sleeping peacefully in their home when a crocodile entered their home and slept under their bed.

According to the reports, the crocodile had sneaked into the house of farmer Babubhai Parmar, located around 200 meters away from Malataj lake in Sojitra taluka of Anand district.

Like any usual day, Parmar had tied his cattle to tethers and retired to mosquito-net covered cot in Indira Colony. But at around 1.30 am on Monday morning, he was woken up by barks of stray dogs. Half-awake Parmar, looked through the gaps of his ‘char pai’ only to find the crocodile resting beneath. Shivering with fear, Parmar somehow managed to go out and call his neighbours for help.

Malataj’s sarpanch Durgesh Patel said, “It was an eight-feet-long female crocodile that was pregnant. Since it is their nesting season, it would have ventured out to lay eggs. On any other day, I would have rescued the crocodile myself but since she was pregnant, we had to handle the situation with care,”

Forest department staff and wildlife volunteers of Daya Foundation, Karamsad, rescued the crocodile safely.
