The United Kisan Morcha has called for Bharat bandh from 6 am to 4 pm today. On the Ghazipur border, farmers have blocked the NH-9, NH-24. Leaders belonging to Kisan Sangathan have camped here. Apart from the Ghazipur border, farmers have also blocked the Shambhu border.

Meanwhile, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait questioned Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar's statement to find a solution through talks, saying the agriculture minister is Rattu. Tikait said that ''if the government improves the law in ten years, the agitation will continue for 10 years. We won't go back. Tikait further said that you can change someone's idea with thought, gun power can't change anyone's mind.'' On the Agriculture Minister, Tikait said that ''he is mugger, as he was taught as a child. He will not speak more than he will speak as much as he has read.'' Tikait further said that ''he says he will not withdraw the law, has to talk about amendments, then talk.''
