Lucknow: Thousands of farmers of Uttar Pradesh are marching towards the national capital Delhi today with their demands. The 'Padayatra', led by the Indian Farmers' Organization, started from Saharanpur on September 11, which are being gathered at the UP Gate on the Ghaziabad-Delhi border today. During this time, thousands of farmers are gathered here. A heavy police force has been deployed at UP Gate to prevent farmers from going to Delhi.

Thousands of farmers of UP are marching towards Delhi on 12-point demands including loan waiver and payment of arrears. For this, thousands of farmers are reaching Delhi-UP border by tractor-trolley and foot march. Strict on these demands, these farmers are protesting fiercely here. Along with UP Police, Delhi Police is also alert about them. According to Joint CP of East Range of Delhi, these farmers are marching till today at Kisan Ghat in Delhi. According to him, he is also in touch with UP police.

This march or movement of farmers has started after the talks between the farmers' organization and the government failed. A large number of police forces have been deployed at UP Gate located on the Ghaziabad-Delhi border to stop the farmers. The route has been closed by placing barricades on the flyovers and routes leading to Delhi from the National Highway.
