New Delhi: Farmers protesting the new agricultural laws brought by the central government will celebrate Goodwill Day on January 30, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, farmers will also keep a fast from 9 am to 5 pm. Farmer leaders on the Singhu border of Delhi have urged the people of the country to connect with the farmers.
During this, there was also anger among the farmer leaders towards the central government. The farmers targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and accused them of trying to ruin the peaceful movement against agricultural laws. He said that the ruling BJP's conspiracy to end this peasant movement has now come to the fore. On the other hand, there is an increasing number of agitators in the main protest sites Ghazipur, Singhu, and Tikri after the video of farmer leader Rakesh Tikait from the Ghazipur border.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Yudhishthir Singh has said that we do not need a lecture from the people of BJP on honoring the national flag. Most of the farmers sitting here have their children fighting for the country on the borders. They further say that the government's attempt to suppress the farmers' movement has intensified it as more people have joined the movement since last night's incident. A statement issued by the United Kisan Morcha said that the BJP government is now giving communal color to the ongoing peaceful peasant movement.
