Truck collides with farmers' trolley returning home, 2 killed, 2 injured

New Delhi: Punjab farmers returning home after ending the agitation from the Tikri border met with a tragic accident in Hisar, Haryana. The farmers' trolley was hit by a speeding truck near village Dhandur on NH-9 (NH-9) at around 7 am on Saturday. Farmer Sukhwinder, a resident of Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, died on the spot in the accident. While the injured farmers were taken to a hospital where another farmer Ajaypreet also died.

According to the information received, after the agitation was over, the farmers of Punjab were on their way to Punjab via NH-9. When the convoy of farmers reached Bagla Road bend near Dhadur in Hisar, a speeding truck hit their trolley from behind. The trolley overturned uncontrollably when the truck collided. Sukhwinder Singh, a 38-year-old farmer from Muktsar Sahib, was killed. Goga (62) and Dara Singh (55), who was injured in the accident, have been admitted to Chudamani Hospital, Hisar.

Another farmer Ajaypreet also succumbed to his injuries during treatment here. Moga Singh, a resident of Ashabuttar in Muktsar district who accompanied him, said he had left the Tikri border for home at night. He had added 2 trolleys behind swaraj tractor.
