Farmers regroup in Lucknow, warn govt amid Mahapanchayat

Lucknow: Thousands of farmers from all over Uttar Pradesh have gathered at the Eco Garden in the state capital Lucknow for the Mahapanchayat on the call of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM). During this time, roaring from the stage, the farmer leaders warned the state and central governments that the promises made to the farmers will no longer be tolerated.  

Farmer leaders said that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will see the power and unity of farmers. They alleged that the government has not fulfilled any of the demands of the farmers so far and is only engaged in benefiting the industrialists. They are giving loans worth thousands of crores to industrialists. At the same time, the government is dilly-dallying in giving electricity, water, and compensation to farmers. The farmers do farming to fill everyone's bellies without distinguishing between the poor and the rich.

Leaders of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) alleged that the government opens fire on farmers when they demand their rights. While the government is protecting Ajay Mishra Teni and his son, the murderer who drove the car on the farmers. Ashish Mishra, son of Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, has been named as the main accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri case.
