Srinagar: National Conference President and former CM Farooq Abdullah, who arrived to attend PM Narendra Modi's all-party meeting on The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, has brushed aside the statement of Gupkar alliance partner and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti's talks with Pakistan.

Reacting to Mehbooba Mufti's statement on her arrival in Delhi, Farooq Abdullah said that we do not have to talk about Pakistan but about our homeland. Abdullah further said that we only mean our homeland and we have come here to talk to Prime Minister. Farooq Abdullah however refused to divulge what issue he would discuss at PM Modi's meeting.

Abdullah also welcomed PM Modi's call for a meeting while talking to the media. Abdullah said it is like coming late but getting fit. We would hope that the PM and the Home Minister listen to us peacefully and find a solution that will bring peace to the state, Abdullah said. Not only that, he said that after the meeting with PM Modi, we will inform the media about what we have proposed and what happened. Farooq Abdullah took a dig at PM Modi over the demands and said, "We want to have skies, but we will talk to him for the time being so that peace prevails in the state.''
