Today is the birthday of the evergreen actor Farooq Sheikh. On 27 December 2013, in Dubai, Farooq suddenly said goodbye to the world. If it were today, it would have been his 70th birthday. Born on 25 December 1948 in Amroli, Gujarat, Google has made its doodle by wishing Farooq a birthday.

According to media reports, after being active in the drama body 'IPTA' for many years, Farooq Sheikh also took the stage of cinema. Parallel cinema gained great acclaim in the seventies and eighties. The debut film was 1973's 'Garm Hawa'. Farooq Sheikh made his acting debut in many films like Umrao Jaan, Chashme Baddoor, Noori, Saath Saath, Maya Mem Sahib, Kissi Se Na Kehna, Bazar, Rang Birangi.

Farooq has done a lot of work in theater during his college days. Actress Shabana Azmi studied in college with him. She used to work together in plays. Their pair achieved much fame through the drama 'Tumhari Amrita'. The pair of Farooq and Deepti Naval have been hit in the movie. Farooq Sheikh's father Mustafa Sheikh was an eminent lawyer in Mumbai. Mother Farida Sheikh Housewife. Farooq started her studies at St. Mary's School in Mumbai. Where he used to participate in many plays and sports activities along with studies. Farooq Sheikh once said that the rites within him were the result of his father Mustafa Sheikh's personality.
