New Delhi: Many types of facilities are being provided by the Central Government on the highway. Now one more such facility is being started by the government, in which you will not even need FASTag. Many facilities are provided by the government to ensure non-stop payment and movement of vehicles on national highways.

Keeping in mind the facilities of vehicles running on the highway and eliminating long queues of congestion, several decisions are being taken by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The government has said that soon you will get the facility of a GPS-based toll system in place of FASTag, after which the role of toll plazas and dependence on it will be completely eliminated.

According to the information received from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), the government is currently working on new technology based on ambitious plans, after which, work will be done on the Motor Vehicles Act and amendments to facilitate toll. At the same time, the government can launch it soon. Earlier, under-construction greenfield expressways and highways may get permission. According to media reports, it will be very convenient to introduce GPS based system, but before that, the government will have to be ready for this technology. Work will also have to be done to upgrade roads with technical infrastructure. Along with this, the Motor Vehicle Act will also have to be amended. May have to wait a bit for a GPS-based tolling system to eliminate toll plaza requirements.
