Tragedy struck the Gambetta Secondary School in Arras, northern France, as a teacher lost their life and two individuals suffered severe injuries in a shocking knife attack.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin confirmed that authorities had apprehended the assailant, who is now in police custody.
