Jammu: Father of man who was gunned down by security personnel for forcibly entering & vandalising former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah's residence in Jammu in an SUV told media reporters that the intruder was with him last night. He goes to gym daily and left for that today.  He said that he wants to know why his son was killed.

He raised the questions that Where were the security guards when he breached the gate? Why didn't they arrest him?.

Meanwhile CRPF officer on man shoot dead for forcibly entering Farooq Abdullah's residence in Jammu, said that intruder didn’t listen to warnings of CRPF. He added that Section of 38 BN CRPF manning the gate opened fire on the vehicle. He further said that Man's body recovered and search of vehicle going on. He also informed that 1 CRPF personnel received minor injuries.

Worth mention here an intruder was shot dead by Security personnel at former chief minister Farooq Abdullah’s Jammu residence.  He broke through the barricades in Abdullah’s car and entered to the property’s lobby on Saturday morning.

According to the reports man was hailed from Mendhar in Poonch district. Police was not clear about His motive so far.

“The intruder breached the main gate and went inside. He had a fight with the duty officers there. A duty officer was also injured. After that, he gained entry in the residence. There has been some damage to the articles there. Afterward, he was shot dead”.  SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta told reporters as quoted by News 18.

Abdullah’s son and former CM Omar Abdullah tweeted , “I am aware of the incident that took place at the residence my father & I share in Bhatindi, Jammu. Details are sketchy at the moment. Initial reports suggest an intruder was able to gain entry through the front door & in to the upper lobby of the house”.

In another tweet he wrote, “Further details are awaited as the security personnel carry out the anti-sabotage checks & ascertain the background of the person who was able to force his way in to the house”.
