A case of rape of a 14-year-old minor daughter by her father has come to light. Police have taken the culprit father into custody. The accused has been remanded to 4 days police remand by the court. The case is of Kumarsain in Himachal Pradesh's capital Shimla.

According to reports, the minor daughter has accused her father of rape in Kingal area under Kumarsain police station. A 14-and-a-half-year-old minor girl from Kingal area has lodged a complaint with the police station that her father has been sexually abusing her since April 2020. The father had threatened the her that if she told anyone about the same thing, he would kill her, fearing that the girl did not say anything about it to anyone. Police have registered a case under Section 306, 376 of IPC and Section 6 of POSCO Act on the complaint of the girl.

According to reports, the mother of the victim has already left her husband and family several years ago. DSP Rampur Chandrashekhar said police have registered a case and taken the accused into custody. The court remanded the accused to four days police remand.
