Suniel Shetty is one of Bollywood's most talented actors, having delivered numerous hit films throughout his career. Often, the actor speaks about his family, particularly expressing gratitude towards his father. Recently, in a podcast, Suniel Shetty revealed that his father ran away from Mangalore to Mumbai in search of work at the age of nine. During this conversation, he disclosed that he has now bought the three buildings where his father used to work.
Suniel Shetty shared the struggles his father faced during an interaction on the podcast with comedian Bharti Singh and her husband, Harsh Limbachiya. He mentioned that his father started from the very bottom. Suniel Shetty said, "My father ran away to Mumbai as a child. He didn't have a father, but he had three sisters. At the age of nine, he got a job at a South Indian restaurant because it was a community thing, and we support each other. His first job was cleaning tables. He was so small that he had to go around the table four times to clean it properly. He used to sleep in a rice sack."
Suniel reminisced about his father's climb to success, eventually becoming the owner of a restaurant. He revealed that he has now bought the three buildings where his father used to work as a manager. Suniel further explained, "His boss bought three buildings and finally asked my father to manage them. When his boss retired, my father bought the three buildings. Today, I still own those three buildings. And that's where our journey started." Suniel Shetty's father passed away in 2017 at the age of 93.
On the work front, Suniel Shetty will next be seen in 'Welcome to the Jungle.' Currently, he is appearing as a judge on the dance reality show 'Dance Deewane 4,' alongside Madhuri Dixit.
