The corona epidemic has created a stir around the world. The State Government has decided to impose a complete lockdown to ensure that the proliferation of variants does not create problems in Manipur. There has been no major decline in cases in the North-East, there is also a fear of the possibility of a third wave.

The same Manipur has announced a complete lockdown across the state, which will be in force for the next 10 days starting from July 18. Delta variants have been blamed for the second wave in the country, putting the death toll tense between March and May. Manipur's health department said stringent steps need to be taken to break the series of the spread of delta variants. Therefore, the State Government has decided to declare a complete lockdown for 10 days with regard to 18th July 2021.

With this, Manipur CM N Biren Singh has announced that all institutions except essential services will remain closed due to the curfew period. In addition, only those coming out for vaccination and testing will be allowed to get out. The health department has urged the people to appeal to all to help deal with corona. The same Manipur has reported the most cases in the last few days. Within the last 24 hours, 1104 new cases have been registered, after which the number of positive cases has increased to 80,521, while there are 8,210 active cases in the State at present.
