New Delhi:- This time Fernando Alonso celebrated his birthday not in our country, but as usual in the races. While the Spaniard's birthday usually falls on the Hungarian Grand Prix, this year Belgium is the place to celebrate. The Aston Martin veteran turns 42 on Saturday.

As a race leader, Alonso is often asked about aging and its effect on driving, so his birthday party rival at Spa said that he has finally turned 42!

Alonso points out that now everyone gets to have his questions answered. “When we performed so well at the beginning of the year and there were a lot of podiums, they constantly questioned themselves how it was possible to do so at 42. But I'm only forty-one…”, he hinted that the performance of his 42-year-old self can be judged at Spa.

They asked him if he had any birthday wishes. "I just want it to be sunny. But I don't want anything," he said in Belgium, which is quite rainy at the moment.

"It was an intensely challenging time, every lap was a new game and you had to constantly adapt to the grip conditions. When you hit the corner, you went faster than ever.
