Unluckily England team has lost in the finals of ICC Academy Dubai Invitational T20 Tournament but player Liam Thomas has won the hearts because of his sportsmanship on to the fields. The tournament is for players having physical disabilities and England was playing against Pakistan in the final game.

During the game, he has to make a choice between the ball and the prosthetic leg which he has got detached during a ball chase. Showing the spirit towards the game he first collected the ball and then goes to pick the leg. The effort is very well appreciated and becoming the talk of the social media for showing efforts.

“I was sprinting for the ball, put my hand out, hit the deck hard and the next thing I know I stood up and had no leg,” he reportedly said, “I didn’t know whether to grab the leg or get the ball in. I decided to go for the ball.”

He said that the attention the incident received will help elevate the profile of the sport. “Having a disability, we all take the fun out of each other a little bit, we all have each other’s backs, so we are all trying to give each other grief when something like that happens,” he reportedly said.

First disability world cup was hosted in 2015 with five teams participating in it. ECB’s disability Chief Ian Martin said to have 7 teams participating world cup in 2019.
