Saharanpur: Five persons lost their lives in an explosion at a licensed firecracker factory in the Saharanpur district of UP. One's condition remains serious. Among the dead was the man who ran the factory with a licence. The injured person was admitted to the district hospital, who has been referred to Chandigarh PGI for treatment. According to police, there were 7 to 8 people working in the factory.
According to police, the accident took place at Balwantpur village near Sourana in Thana Sarsawa area. There was a dangerous explosion in the licensed firecracker factory here. Three people died on the spot after the explosion. Two more people then died. A total of 5 people have died so far. All the persons who lost their lives in the accident were residents of the Salempur police station area of Sarsawa.
After the accident, Saharanpur IG Dr Preetinder Singh reached the spot and inspected the situation. He said that information has been received about 7 to 8 persons working in the factory. Three bodies have been sent for post mortem. A critical injurer has been sent to the hospital. Efforts are being made to contact the family members of the injured person. Efforts are on to remove the debris from the spot, so that if there is any casualty or any other injured, it can be rescued soon. Rahul, Sagar, Kartik, Vardhanpal and Sumit, who were working in the factory, were killed in the accident in Saharanpur. At the same time, the name of the injured person is said to be Vansh alias Vishal. Police are trying to find out under what circumstances the explosion took place.
