Melbourne: There is news of a fierce shootout in Queensland, Australia. At least six people, including two police officers, died in the shooting. According to the information given by the police officials, this firing took place at around 5 pm on Tuesday (December 13). The number of attackers is said to be two.  

Police said they also retaliated against the attackers, but two officers were seriously injured and died on the spot. According to the information, another person present at the spot was also shot dead. Even the police had to resort to the Air Force and then the area was cordoned off. The police started a search operation, which lasted for about 6 hours. 3 people died in this encounter. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed grief over the incident.

The policemen who died in the shootout have been identified as 26-year-old Rachel Macro and 29-year-old Matthew Arnold. Queensland Police Commander Katrina Carroll said, "Two policemen have sacrificed their lives to keep our society safe.'' The police commander got emotional while giving information in this regard at the press conference.
