The Japan team, which is out in the group league in Brazil 2014 World Cup, faced Colombia on Tuesday and won the match. However, apart from these two, the team has no known defender. While the team had to struggle to support another midfielder, Flacco. The Colombian team, playing with 10 players, suffered a 2-1 defeat against Japan in the FIFA World Cup Group "H". 

This is the first time when an Asian team defeated South American country in the World Cup. For Japan, Shinji Kagawa made the goal in the sixth minute while Uia Osaka netted the ball in the 73rd minute of the match.  At the same time, Juan Fernando Quintero scored the only goal in the 39th minute for Colombia.

Columbia felt the biggest shock in the third minute of the match when its star player Carlos Sanchez was deliberately handballed to show off the red card.  This is the second fastest red card in the World Cup history. Columbia kept its aggressive midfielder James Rodriguez out of the initial lineup. James was having difficulty with muscle pain. He got into the ground in the 59th minute instead of Quintero, but he could not show any good performance.
